We are recruiting for office based volunteers to support administration activities for both our operations/administration and befriending teams for our LGBTQ+ charity. We are looking for flexible people, happy to volunteer in a friendly environment, helping our work supporting LGBTQ+ people over 50. Applicants need to have some experience of using Office apps and be willing to be trained to use our bespoke CRM system.
Can you interpret BSL and help us support people with hearing impairment?
We are looking for volunteers to help with facilitating a group focused on LGBTQ+ people from PoC/BAME communities over the age of 50 and our interests and issues. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from women-identifying or AFAB people.
Our PoC/BAME engagement is both online and face to face, and we would like volunteers to support this. We’re looking for volunteers to share and support co-facilitation duties.
We are recruiting social media volunteers to help support Opening Doors by actively engaging with the Opening Doors Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn accounts and helping us continue to develop our social media visibility.
Opening Doors have partnered with Out Together (Friends of Dorothy) for a joint Telefriending Service for those in West Yorkshire.
The Telefriending Service will match someone in the area with a volunteer from West Yorkshire for a friendly positive chat each week. The calls will last around 30 minutes and will be weekly, on the same day and time.
We are proud to support people from every section of our LGBTQ+ communities and are looking for volunteers to support our Trans and Nonbinary Group. Volunteers need to have some knowledge of and connection to trans and nonbinary communities, and be happy supporting a group and activities focusing on people over 50.
